Sodium Chromate is available as small yellow coloured free flowing hygroscopic solid crystals. Sodium chromate is an inorganic compound, which can form tetra-, hexa-, and decahydrates. It is an intermediate in the extraction of chromium from its ores
uses
Used extensively as an anti-corrosive salt in cooling water and chilled brine systems. Also used in inhibitor formulations and manufacture of chrome pigments and other Chromium chemicals.
It is also used as a corrosion inhibitor in the petrolium industry and in diagnostic pharmaceuticls to determine red blood cell volume.
